As the Kentucky Wildcats continue to build their 2016 recruiting class, one of their top targets just cut his list of schools in consideration.
To no surprise, UK made the cut for five-star wing Miles Bridges, who is now down to three schools:

The bigger news is Bridges told Scout.com he'll announce his college decision on October 3rd. He was set to visit Kentucky for Big Blue Madness on October 3rd, so this may be viewed as a negative development for UK. He's coming off a weekend visit with the Michigan State Spartans, who are the only perceived threat to keep the Wildcats from getting Bridges.
After all, UK is the perceived favorite for Bridges, who's ranked No. 12 in 24/7 Sports' rankings, where his Crystal Ball has UK pegged as the heavy favorite with 81% of the votes. John Calipari met with Bridges last Wednesday, the first day of the fall recruiting period.
24/7 Sports' Jerry Meyer recently echoed those sentiments, telling Kentucky.com, "I just think he likes Kentucky. I think he's intrigued with Kentucky. I think getting that (scholarship) offer was a big deal to him. I sense that Kentucky has the edge right now."
