Kentucky Wildcats Quickies: John Calipari Relieved Edition

John Calipari says something contreversial. Again. Football is upon us. Michael Porter, Jr. cuts his list and more!

Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

Coach John Calipari made some news yesterday when he stated that there were some players that were relieved in the locker room after the loss to Wisconsin. Here is the exact quote:

"When we lost to Wisconsin, some guys were relieved in that locker room," Calipari said. "When I walked in, I thought they'd be devastated. A few of them were relieved like, 'whew!'"

I'm not going to lie; I was a little upset after I read that quote as I could not imagine a player that would feel that way. I thought this was just an extreme example of Cal being Cal. And then a Kentucky media person who was in the locker room after the game reached out to me and said that there was indeed a player that seemed to be relieved that the game was over. He didn't give a name or tell me whether or not this player was still on the team, but I believe the guy.

I guess the pressure was getting to be too much for some of them.

Tweet of the Morning

Here is a behind the scenes look at the football players getting their uniforms. Football is upon us ladies and gentlemen. Act Accordingly.

Michael Porter, Jr., the #2 ranked player in the 2017 class has released his top 10 schools and of course Kentucky made it. Cal hasn't had much success in getting elite small forwards to commit to Kentucky since Michael Kidd-Gilchrist. Porter, Jr. has quite a list, but I feel confident that Kentucky will be there at the very end.

DeMarcus Cousins has confirmed that he will be a part of the UK vs. UNC alumni game. I will be honest with you, I went to the first ever alumni game and it was really cool. But I haven't had much interest in them since then. I hope it does well and I hope we beat UNC, but I'm not as interested.

Tony Romo was really mad at Dez Bryant for that training camp fight. The Dallas Cowboys are the drama gift that keeps on giving!

University of Louisville radio mouth piece 93.9 the Ville sent out an ill-advised tweet yesterday concerning the football team. Here it is in all of its glory. Self-awareness, guys.
