Former Kentucky Wildcats star Chuck Hayes will get a chance to continue his NBA career when the 2015-16 season tips off.

After a reported one-year deal with the Houston Rockets fell through earlier this summer, Hayes has now reportedly agreed to a deal with the Los Angeles Clippers.

Hayes, now 32 years old, played in 29 games for the Toronto Raptors last season, averaging 8.8 minutes per game. Hayes averaged just 1.7 points and 1.8 rebounds per game. He has previous stints with the Rockets, as well as the Sacramento Kings. Over his NBA career, he's played with fellow former Cats Patrick Patterson, Terrence Jones and DeMarcus Cousins.

Standing at just 6-6 and 240 pounds, Hayes has surprisingly managed to have a pro career lasting more than a decade while starting games at both power forward and even center. He still ranks seventh in all-time rebounds in UK basketball history.

As was the case at Kentucky, Hayes' career speaks to how far hard work and dedication to your craft can take you.
