As expected, Tai Wynyard has confirmed that he will be joining the Kentucky Wildcats this fall and be part of the 2015-16 team.
Wynyard will enrolling at UK for the spring semester, but will join the team in December as he told Larry Vaught on Sunday.
"I'm sure I will be coming to UK in December to begin classes winter/spring semester," Wynyard told Vaughts Views. "I'm looking forward to and excited about joining the program in December."
The assumption has been that Wynyard will be joining the Wildcats this upcoming season, though it's unclear how much the Cats can expect from him this year. He's been ranked as a top-100 recruit in most recruiting services, and with UK having another loaded team, it will be hard for Wynyard to crack the rotation after joining the team late.

The good news is Wynyard just got a small ranking bump in 24/7 Sports' rankings for the 2015 class, where he now comes in at No. 58 overall. Ironically, he's three spots ahead of fellow UK commit Isaac Humphries, who is also joining the Cats for this year, though he's already set to enroll and be with the team this semester.
Both of them are also ranked ahead of UK commit Charles Matthews, who came in at No. 73...I'm sure John Calipari took an early commitment from a player that 72 players are better than in his class.
