Kentucky Football Recruiting: Landon Young makes Rivals 100

Another big honor for a UK commitment in the Class of 2016.

The Kentucky Wildcats already have a great 2016 class in the works, and it looks even better with the new Rivals 100 now out.

Lafayette offensive lineman Landon Young was named to the Rivals 100 by being placed No. 91 in Monday's updated rankings for the class of 2016. To give you an idea of how big a deal that is, eight of the nine other committed recruits ranked just between 80-100 are committed to Texas, Michigan, Penn State, Alabama, Clemson, and Georgia.

Those are the kind of programs UK has had to hold off to keep the commitment of Young, who's been a UK pledge since June of 2013. Mark Stoops and his taff targeted Young early on when he came to UK, and his efforts have paid off with Young staying committed to the Wildcats as he's risen up the recruiting rankings.

As long as UK can keep Young and his fellow 2016 commits on board, the Cats will finish with a top-25 recruiting class for 2016.
