Kentucky Football Poll: Who's the No. 2 Running Back?

Mark Zerof-USA TODAY Sports

Continuing our series of polls leading up to kickoff, we move over to another offensive skill position: Running Back.

We're looking at Boom Williams having the leg up for the starting position at running back this season, so that leaves us with figuring out who's No. 2. The Kentucky Wildcats aren't particularly deep at running back with only five other backs listed on the roster - Jojo Kemp, Mikel Horton, Sihiem King, William Mahone, and Will Thomas Collins; fewer than any other SEC team (some have as many as 13 backs).

Mahone and Collins will likely get very limited action if at all and while King's name has been brought up several times by coaches most of his damage this year will likely be as a return man.  It's hard to see him overtaking Kemp or Horton as the No. 2 back.

Who follows behind Boom will be interesting to see. Both running backs are already familiar to the BBN, especially Jojo after his 131-yard, three-touchdown game in UK's upset of South Carolina. Mikel was no slouch either though with 309 yards and two scores on 59 rushes as a true freshman last year.

So, who you got BBN?

These polls will run through Football Eve (September 4).
