Last Thursday evening I was joined by A Sea of Blue contributor Keith Garrett, and former UK offensive tackle Zipp Duncan (2006-2009). Our focus was on Kentucky's offensive line heading into the season. I've felt confident since the end of last season that the offense would be a strength for UK's team this season, but their potential is a moot point if the offensive line doesn't also deliver.
In this episode we talked about: the job offensive line coach John Scharlman has done developing and recruiting the past two years, Zipp goes into further detail on the nuances of a zone-blocking scheme, Keith talks about the lack of depth at offensive tackle, and Zipp discusses what advice he'd have for UK's offensive linemen commits in the 2016, AND SO MUCH MORE!
Zipp also told a great Rich Brooks story, but my recorder failed me as he was beginning the story. I'm sorry about that (we'll have to have Zipp back to tell it again), and I'm also sorry for the way my cold makes me sound.
