Yesterday was an open practice to the media and apparently it was one where everybody decided to make one-handed grabs. One of the reasons the coaches thinks you are seeing so many big time plays is due to the increased competition at the Wide Receiver position.
Cats loaded with options at WR right now, coaches think competition is leading to some amazing grabs.

"You guys saw a bunch of one-handed catches today," Barker said. "I think it was the most we've had all camp. It was great just to see those guys make competitive plays, and it's not like the defense is inept. They're right there on the ball."
TWEET OF THE DAY
Thought I was too close and didn't get this one today, but here's Bone's one-handed snag... #BBN pic.twitter.com/hkV38aQEU1

YOUR QUICKIES
WESTRY A STARTER?
Chris Westry, the 6'4" freshman who may be the fastest guy on the team is running with the first unit. While he may not be the starter in week one, he is certainly going to be a significant factor this season.

NO TEAM CANADA FOR JAMAL MURRAY, EH?
While it is not good news for Canada, it is good news for UK and Big Blue Nation that Jamal Murray is not likely to be off-campus for those three weeks.
SIHIEM KING BELONGS
King, the 5'8" mighty mite is making quite the impression this fall and will certainly add value as a true freshman for Kentucky in 2015.
Boom on freshman King: "We love him. We know he can make plays and be special for us on Saturdays."

Sihiem King turns the corner and is up the sideline in a blink. Cats stole one with that kid.

RYAN TIMMONS IN A BOOT
It is apparently not a serious injury but I will not lie when I say that the injury prone Timmons is starting to worry me. He has been solid, but not spectacular in camp, and now everyone seems to be stepping up. Could Timmons get passed up? I do not think he will, but he is certainly not pacing the same as his teammates Badet, Baker, Bone, Montgomery, and Johnson.

RING OF HONOR
Kentucky is installing a Ring of Honor to pay homage to the past greats of the program. Saturday Down South had a great topic the other day, who would be on the Mt. Rushmore of UK Football. My opinion is if you are going players only it would be Couch, Dermonti Dawson, Cobb, and Moe Williams. If you bring in coaches I think you add Bear Bryant and Rich Brooks minus Cobb and Williams.
