Remember Sunday when we said the SEC was already growing thanks to Bruce Pearl at Auburn?
That hire may have helped lead to Alabama going after a big-name coach when they landed Avery Johnson this year, and now it's the Crimson Tide who have landed a five-star prospect.
One day after Auburn landed five-star wing Mustapha Heron, Alabama has responded by landing five-star guard Terrance Ferguson.

For much of his recruitment, Kansas was viewed as the favorite for him, but a recent visit to Alabama had the Crimson Tide gain momentum leading up to Ferguson's commitment.
Ferguson, 6-6 shooting guard, chose the Crimson Tide over the Baylor Bears, Kansas Jayhawks, Louisville Cardinals, and North Carolina Tar Heels among a host of other big-time scholarship offers. The Tulsa (OK) native plays his high school ball for Prime Prep Academy in Texas.
24/7 Sports ranks Ferguson as the No. 9 overall prospect in the class of 2016. Ferguson had a great summer with the USA U19 team in Greece, where he led the team in three-pointers and three-point percentage en route to the team's gold medal.
