College basketball recruiting has slowed down a bit in the past week with many of the summer's top AAU events now having passed.
When it comes to Kentucky Wildcats basketball, though, there is no offseason as John Calipari and his staff attempt to pick up the commitment of the nation's top prospects. With only one commit currently in the 2016 class, UK is still very much in the mix for several big-time prospects.
Scout.com Evan Daniels talked with the guys at cn2 about some of UK's top targets, including updates on five-star point guard Denniss Smith Jr. and his recruitment following an ACL tear this past week.
Daniels also provided a very positive update on four-star center Sacha Killeya-Jones, who the Cats may be the favorite for as he approaches a fall decision. Daniels also provided updates on point guard five-star point guard De'Aaron Fox and the ongoing recruiting battle between Under Armour and Nike.
