Matt Jones tweeted out some excerpts of a Gary Parrish podcast in which he recounts a Calipari vs. Mick Cronin exchange in Las Vegas. Coach Cal swooped in and got Marquis Teague with a lot fewer visits than other coaches. Cronin was allegedly spreading rumors about Cal cheating to get Teague and Cal had enough.
"100% true, John confronts this guy in Vegas, because he heard the guy was yapping. He confronts him. Cal approaches the coach and says something like ‘Listen, I know what you've been saying'
‘No, I haven't been saying-‘
‘I know you did, I know you said what you said. I've heard it from enough people, but I want you to understand one thing. Yes I am the type of guy who can come in at the last minute and take any player I want from you. You can spend your whole life recruiting a kid and at the end of the day, if I want him, I'll get him. If we want him, we'll get him. Don't ever get that confused. Be appreciative every time I don't come in and get your guy. Don't accuse me of cheating when I do.
And it's fine, but just understand, nothing stupid went on. It's just that I'm me, and we're Kentucky and we can come in and get that kid whenever we want."
I LOVE our coach, swaggy Cal is the best Cal.

Boom and Badet Injury Scare
Two of UK's most likely playmakers had injury scares this week. Both seem to be minor and a big sigh of relief around Big Blue Nation could be felt for miles. The only thing that could derail this team with a quickness is the injury bug, let us hope this is not a sign of things to come.
Quarterback Decision Coming Soon
Shannon Dawson and Mark Stoops have both said that a final decision on a week one starter at QB could be coming as soon as after Saturday's scrimmage. Smart money is on the incumbent Patrick Towles. However, Barker will not back down and seemingly has a very strong focus on being the man this season.
Nebraska Transfers
The Cornhusker transfers Courtney Love and Greg Hart have yet to get a decision on their eligibility for this season. One silver lining is the depth the team is acquiring allows for this to not be an urgent need.
I'm told UK still doesn't know about eligibility of Nebraska transfers Hart, Love. Would be pretty surprising if either can play this fall.

Darius West On The Comeback
Great article by Mark Story on Darius West, he has recovered from THREE broken legs. Here is hoping the consensus 4-star recruit can make it all the way back starting this season.
Masthay Keeps His Job
Former 'Cat Tim Masthay will keep his job this season. The Packers released his direct competition, Cody Mandell.

Big Anthony Davis Is ... Well, Big
Anthony Davis has packed on some serious muscle since his time in Lexington. It will only help his durability and ability to finish strong. Impossible as it may seem, he is only going to get better.

Conor McGregor Smackdown On Floyd Mayweather
UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor spoke about his desire to fight Floyd Mayweather Jr. He said he would love to fight him the boxing ring on his terms and would 'dismantle' him in seconds in a real fight.
He thinks Ronda Rousey would do the same to Mayweather. Personally, I would love to see someone do it to him, Mayweather is nothing but scum. The fact that a serial woman beater like him can have the success he does makes me question a lot of things in life.
Naked And Afraid
My wife and I are fans of this show, it is oddly interesting and you cannot look away. The blurred private parts and human nature turning on each other in the harshest of environments is highly entertaining. There are two things that drive me absolutely bonkers crazy.
1) Why do they make fish traps, they have never actually caught a fish with one 2) Why does nobody make shoes? There was one couple that did and they killed it. I watched three dudes walk 7 miles in about 6 hours because of their feet. Cruising around the mall you would walk 7 miles in about three hours, max. I would think even just wrapping a bunch of palm fronds around your feet with vine would suffice.
