If the Kentucky football Cats are to make it back to bowl eligibility in 2015, they'll need the secondary to play significantly better than they did in 2014.
They simply couldn't stop anyone down the stretch last year, and it was ultimately one of the main reasons UK did not go bowling, despite a 5-1 start to the year. Thankfully, one of the early themes of training camp thus far has been the play of the secondary.
However, it's been the incoming freshmen that have turned heads thus far with both their ability and freakish size. Freshman Chris Westry (6-4, 185), Derrick Baity (6-3, 180) and Will Jackson (6-3, 200) are the biggest corners on the roster, and all will be true freshman in 2015. All three have made their share of plays thus far in camp and could be in for significant snaps in their first years of college.
Regardless of how much they play, it's great to see arguably UK's biggest weakness from last year is already looking significantly better this year. That's a great sign for this team's postseason hopes.
