Arguably the best player from the state of Kentucky for 2016 is off the board.

Painstville linebacker Kash Daniel announced his commitment to the Kentucky Wildcats on Saturday during a ceremony at his high school. It's another huge get for UK's 2016 class, which now is ranked in the top 20 of nearly every major recruiting service.

Daniel recently wrapped up an official visit to South Carolina before deciding he was finished with his visits. The inside linebacker from Paintsville is rated as the No. 2 ILB by 247Sports for 2016.

Last year, Daniel notched 180 tackles (111 solo) and four interceptions while being named second-team All-State. He's also been invited to the Army All-American Game. Daniel plays quarterback at Paintsville, and he was a 1,000-yard passer, a 1,000-yard rusher and accounted for more than 20 touchdowns as an offensive player last season.

The 6-3, 240-pound backer has become a phenomenon at Class A Paintsville High School since May, earning scholarship offers from the UK, Louisville, South Carolina and Purdue to go with interest from other BCS powers.
