The Kentucky Wildcats have added the New Mexico State Aggies to their 2016 football schedule, according to FBSchedules.com.
The report says that UK will host New Mexico State at Commonwealth Stadium in Lexington on Sept. 17, 2016. In addition, the Cats will pay NMSU a $1.3 million guarantee for the game.
Next year's meeting will also be the first matchup between the two schools. With this addition, UK has now completed its schedule for the 2016 college football season.
UK is scheduled to open the season at home against Southern Miss on Sept. 3, host Austin Peay on Nov. 19, and travel to take on in-state rival Louisville on Nov. 26. They'll also play their normal six SEC games, which includes a trip to Tuscaloosa to face the Alabama Crimson Tide.
