Colin Cowherd Gets The Early Boot
I wrote this article back in April wishing for the comeuppance of Colin Cowherd. I know you should never wish ill will on anyone, but I can certainly promise I will not be shedding any tears for the notoriously nefarious personality.
My opinion is that this will be the beginning of a long fall from "grace" for Cowherd, and it could not have happened to a nicer guy. Although he was already leaving The Worldwide Leader, the front office of ESPN has fired Cowherd after his comments about Dominicans.
"It's too complex? I've never bought into that ‘baseball is too complex.' Really? A third of the sport is from the Dominican Republic. The Dominican Republic has not been known in my lifetime as having world-class academic abilities."
Some of the better tweets regarding the ordeal:
Pedro Martinez on Colin Cowherd: 'He needs to get to my level to answer him. I’m in the Hall of Fame.' http://t.co/h5J4oPUzT1

Colin Cowherd said something dumb. Related: Today is a day that ends in "Y"

The number of lazy, stereotypical, harmful comments Colin Cowherd has made about different people groups is staggering. Enjoy, Fox!

Colin Cowherd needs to stop talking about Dominicans, baseball, and possibly sports too. http://t.co/ngbFijaOEc pic.twitter.com/EKeXJQMTgI

Coaches For Kids Bourbon and Cigar Social
The UK Coaches for Kids annual "Bourbon and Cigars Dinner" was this weekend. The event was started back when Coach Rich Brooks was here and continues under Coach Mark Stoops.
Two Wildcat friends Jason Huber (@UKHUBER) and Todd Harris (@tgh3316) attended last night and got their picture with Brooks and Stoops. The event was a success and continues to build on itself each season. This year's total money raised was over $200,000; all for pediatric cancer research.
Yessir! Love it! RT @UKHUBER: @tgh3316 @UKCoachStoops @UKcoachbrooks and myself. What a fun night with the boys. pic.twitter.com/N8wPZ3S3fV

UK Target Miles Bridges embarrassed a guy
With Coach Cal watching on, Bridges cocked back and dropped the hammer on a defender with a coolness like the other side of the pillow... as the late great Stuart Scott would say.

Mychael Mulder Balling Out
So far, one of the surprises of the summer pickup games has been Mychal Mulder. Many thought he would fill a shooting need, but according to Matt Jones he is hearing that Mulder has been displaying a much broader skill set and some eye-popping athleticism. Devin Booker light maybe?
Malik Monk Drops 34
Significant UK target Malik Monk scored 34 points while hitting 6 three-pointers and led his team to the title at "The 8" tournament finals.
UK Football DT Target Kobe Smith Cuts List
Kobe Smith was recently on campus and he is deciding Wednesday night between our 'Cats, NC State, and Miami. This would be a great pull by the staff.

The People's Elbow TD Celebration
An AFL player decided to conduct a TD celebration paying homage to Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson. I am not gonna lie, I loved it too, Rock.

Key and Peele Coming To An End
The Comedy Central show 'Key and Peele' is coming to an end after this 5th and final season. I love the show and hate to see it go. It is pretty significant they were able to put together five seasons of sketch comedy. Most run out of steam after a few seasons.
