The Kentucky Wildcats just scored a massive commitment from one of the top offensive lineman in the Class of 2016.
Hutchinson (Kan.) Community College tackle Tate Leavitt has committed to UK.
The 6-foot-6, 315-pound Leavitt held offers from Alabama, Auburn, Missouri, Oklahoma, Oklahoma St., TCU and West Virginia among others. He's currently on a visit to Lexington, and getting his pledge before leaving town was the goal for the Cats.
Leavitt is a big priority for the Wildcats as he could start immediately at tackle, which will be a position of need in 2016 once full-time starting tackle Jordan Swindle has graduated. Being an Ohio native, Leavitt also has a good relationship with several players on UK roster, as well as recruiting coordinator Vince Marrow.
Rivals has Leavitt rated as a four-star prospect, and his commitment puts UK nearly in the top 10 team rankings for the Class of 2016:
