Simmons is ranked as the No. 7 overall prospect in the 2016 class by 247Sports Composite. Kentucky is battling Kansas, Arizona, North Carolina, Missouri and Ohio State among others who've offered Simmons.
as of now, Simmons' crystal ball has the Cats in front of UNC by a wide margin:
With Kansas cut from his list, expect those few picks for the Jayhawks to soon be switched over to UK.
John Calipari saw Simmons week at the Nike EYBL Peach Jam in, and Simmons will return the favor in August for his official visit to UK. At this point, the Cats are the clear-cut favorites, but we've seen how quickly recruiting can change in an instance.
