Kentucky head coach John Calipari met with the media Thursday for a brief update on the Wildcat's summer, as well as a reflection of this past season.
Cal talked about the heartbreaking loss to Wisconsin in the Final Four, to which Cal admitted he never thought UK would lose this past season.
He also talked a bit about his new team and how they may be, "one of those multiple pick-and-roll kind of teams, more of a dribble-drive team than I've had in a while." Cal also talked how Tyler Ulis was a player both teammates and opposing coaches loved. He also provides a brief update on Alex Poythress' rehab.
And of course, Cal reflected on the players who opted to declare for the draft and how they grew so much this past year at Kentucky, specifically Karl-Anthony Towns.
Oh, and Cal tossed in this:
"So, today I’m announcing that I’m running for President," Cal said. His party? "Independent." And his platform? "Everybody eats."
