The NBA may be coming back to Rupp Arena.
With so many former Kentucky Wildcats now in the NBA, there's really no reason for the league to not hold a preseason game or two every year or so. After not holding one in either 2013 or 2014, the NBA could be returning to Rupp this year in the form of a preseason game between the Sacramento Kings and New Orleans Pelicans, according to KSR's Matt Jones:
I am hearing the NBA is close to setting up an exhibition game at Rupp night after Big Blue Madness in Lex between the Kings and Pelicans

That means this would be weekend in Lex. Oct 14-16: Thur: UK vs Auburn Football...Fri: Big Blue Madness...Sat: Kings vs Pelicans. Much fun

That would be a pretty amazing three days for Kentucky sports. Auburn should come into Commonwealth Stadium with a top-10 ranking on Thursday. big Blue Madness will once again feature a preseason top-5 Kentucky basketball team.
Then on Saturday, we'll see two of the best NBA players on the same court when DeMarcus Cousins leads his Kings against Anthony Davis' Pelicans. It would also be Willie Cauley-Stein's return to Rupp after being drafted sixth overall Sacramento in this year's NBA Draft.
