The mini recruiting slump John Calipari and Kentucky are in is bleeding over into the 2016 class.

According to Reggie Rankin of ESPN, 2016 five-star guard Josh Langford has committed to Michigan State.

Kentucky was high on Langford's list, but it was the Spartans that came out on top in this one. The Cats were second place in Langford's crystal ball leading up to his commitment. UK was at one time the prohibitive favorite in it, but the Spartans picked up momentum over the past few months and ultimately landed the 6-6, 200-pound combo guard out of Madison Academy (AL).

Langford also had offers from Duke, Kansas, Arizona and Michigan. He's the No. 15 overall players in 24/7Sports rankings and No. 13 in ESPN.
