Grant McKinniss commits to Kentucky Wildcats

Grant McKinniss is the latest Class of 2016 prospect to join the Kentucky Wildcats.

The Kentucky Wildcats have picked up a football commitment in the 2016 class.

Findlay (Ohio) punter Grant McKinniss got his first major offer on Sunday from UK, and today, he committed to the Wildcats.

McKinniss was participating in a kicking camp UK was hosting along with One on One Kicking. The UK coaches loved what they saw from him enough to go ahead and offer him a scholarship. Linebackers coach Andy Buh recruited and handled the specialist portion of camp, so he likely played a major hand in getting McKinniss.

We actually got to speak with One on One Kicking Founder Mike McCabe. He was there working with McKinniss Sunday. We'll get some thoughts from McCabe later on what the Cats are getting in McKinniss, who becomes the 17th commitment for 2016 and the 12th from the state of Ohio.
