Today is decision day. The Kentucky Wildcats will apparently be announcing at a 2:30 press conference who will stay and who will go.
Many people think the entire starting five plus Devin Booker an Dakari Johnson will declare for the NBA draft. It could happen, I have no idea and I will just wait to see for myself. Then we can talk about it.

Heh. Awesome.
Your Quickies:
Kentucky football
- Towles, Barker pushing each other in the QB competition. That’s good, I guess, but recent statements by Stoops have suggested a two-quarterback system? That’s usually not good.

Cheik Diallo is expected to meet with Coach Cal in the coming days, along with every other coach at every other school he’s interested in.
Diallo is an intriguing prospect to me, particularly if Dakari Johnson leaves. He’s an energy guy and reminds me a bit of Julius Randle in a skinnier package. I really love having players like this on the team because they make plays all the time, big game or not.

Calipari is a perfect match for Kentucky, according to Keith Taylor. I hate to pull out the Captain Obvious card, but what was your first clue, the four Final Fours or the NCAA Tournament championship?
Just kidding, Keith.
-
What’s next for Calipari and his ‘Cats? NBA Draft, reload, rearm, make another NCAA Tournament title run — in that order.
There, saved you a click.
-
Love seeing that Charles Matthews is a good student. I am tickled to death at how Calipari has successfully diffused the academic arguments against his program by paying attention to the subject during recruiting.
-
Why you shouldn’t worry about the "mass exodus," if it materializes. I don’t worry about anything anymore. No reason to. Besides, worry shortens your life and makes your life less enjoyable. Lose it. It’s useless.
-
Kentucky’s record-setting performance a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I think that’s probably right.

An NAIA school hires Dave Bliss, the former Baylor coach who had all sorts of NCAA problems there. Gary Parrish asks, ultimately, why should we care if a 71-year old coach gets a second chance, despite the evil he did.
I think I agree with him.

When is the last time you saw the words "undefeated" and "Cincinnati Reds" used together?

Mark Cuban blasts the college game. He has some good points, there, especially about the officiating. I don’t blame the officials so much as the NCAA for creating the mess that it has. But you know this.
Oh, one thing, Mark — why should the NCAA give a crap if it hurts the NBA, hmm? You don’t care about the reverse. Sauce for the goose.

Romantic spring getaways. I’d love to try San Antonio, I hear good things.

If you live or frequently visit Louisville, I have to plug Cena (pronounced "chenna"), an Italian restaurant located below the Mussels & Burger Bar. Petra and I ate there for the first time last night, and it is absolutely fantastic. The prices are very reasonable, too, as we got out under $100 even with a moderately expensive (for us, anyway) bottle of wine, and including an appetizer.
I have had two perfectly seasoned dishes in my life in a restaurant — a dish at Emeril Lagasse’s New Orleans Fish House in Las Vegas, and the Ravioli I had last night at Cena. The atmosphere is great, the service outstanding, and the food is peerless in this city. Give it a try. Reservations are available, but walk-ins are welcome.
The menu you see in the article is a bit outdated, but many of those dishes are still on the menu.
