Jordan Smith singing National Anthem for Kentucky Wildcats vs Ole Miss Rebels

Jordan Smith, star of 'The Voice,' will be singing in Rupp Arena this week.

NBC's The Voice

The Kentucky Wildcats will host the Ole Miss Rebels this Saturday as both schools open SEC play.

While the matchup of two 10-2 teams will be fun to watch, fans will be in for a treat before the game tips off. Jordan Smith, the recent winner of NBC's 'The Voice' competition, announced on Facebook that he will be singing the National Anthem at the game Saturday.

"I will also be singing the National Anthem at the UK Basketball game this Saturday, Jan. 2nd, at Rupp Arena in Lexington, KY. I have always been a huge Cats fan, so singing at this game is another dream come true!" Smith said on Facebook.

UK has also confirmed the news via Twitter:

The game will start at 7:00 p.m. on the SEC Network, so Smith will be singing at about that time with the game tipping about 5-10 minutes after 7.

Smith will also be singing the National Anthem at the NHL Winter Classic in Boston on Friday.

My favorite Smith song from his domination on 'The Voice' was performing Queen's 'Somebody To Love.'
