College Basketball Top 25 Polls updated

The Cats are climbing after their big win over the Cards.

A new college basketball Coaches Poll is out following the Christmas week action.

With the holidays here, there weren't many big matchups last week, but the one everyone made sure to watch was the No. 11 Kentucky Wildcats taking on the No. 15 Louisville Cardinals. It became one of the best games the rivalry has seen in recent memory, and the Cats ultimately hung on for a 75-73 win.

You could make a good argument for both teams to climb in the rankings this week, but the Cards actually fell two spots, whereas Kentucky went up one spot.

As for top-ranked Michigan State, they barely escaped an upset bid from Oakland last week, but the Spartans were able to hold on for an overtime win and remain unbeaten. As for the rest of the top 25, Louisville, George Washington and Cincinnati were the only ranked teams to go down last week.
