Kentucky Football Depth Chart Updated for Vanderbilt Week

Matt Bush-USA TODAY Sports

The Kentucky Wildcats have updated their depth chart ahead of this week's matchup with the Vanderbilt Commodores.

After four straight losses (three being blowouts) and UK now on the verge of missing out on bowl eligibility, it was pretty much a given there were going to be at least a few significant changes on the depth chart this week. The biggest question was would there be a change at quarterback after Patrick Towles struggled mightily on the most recent loss to Georgia.

Despite his struggles, the newest depth chart still lists Towles ahead of Drew Barker for the starting spot. We should still expect to see Barker play this week, but it looks like no definitive decision on that has been made.

As for running back Boom Williams, he's back on the depth chart, though it's with an 'OR' next to Mikel Horton. Head coach Mark Stoops said Saturday that there was a good chance Boom returned this week against Vanderbilt after missing last week with an elbow injury, so it's good to see him back and possibly playing this week.

Here is the fully-updated depth chart:
