The Kentucky Wildcats got a major scare Friday when Tyler Ulis went down with an injury vs the South Florida Bulls.
During the first half, Ulis was attempting to go for a loose ball, but Bulls forward Angel Nunez dove for the ball and landed on Ulis arm, causing it to slightly bend backwards. Ulis was immediately favoring the arm before heading to the locker room to be further examined, but it looks like there's no major damage:
Tyler Ulis' dad tells me Tyler is OK. X-Rays on elbow were normal. UK's next game is Monday.

James Ulis adds that he's not sure if Tyler will play Monday. Depends on what doctor says. Next game after that is UCLA 12/3.

That is obviously good news for No. 1 Kentucky. Asked how they'd be if Ulis was out for an extended period, Calipari said , 'Not good'

If Ulis misses Monday, the Cats should still be able to beat Illinois State, and the same holds true Thursday at UCLA. The Bruins have struggled mightily this year, but still have enough talent to make this a game if the Cats are struggling and Ulis isn't playing.
We'll keep you posted if there are any updates on this, but don't expect to see Ulis playing Monday night. He may be healthy enough to, but the Cats would be wise to not risk another injury and/or further injuring the same elbow.
