First College Basketball AP Top 25 Poll Released

Mark Zerof-USA TODAY Sports

The first edition of the 2015-16 college basketball AP Top 25 Poll is out, and it features a lot of familiar names at the top.

The North Carolina Tar Heels and Kentucky Wildcats are the top two clubs with UNC claiming this top spot. Those two schools tied for the No. 1 spot in the preseason coaches poll, so it's no surprise to see the veteran-heavy Heels get this top spot.

The Kansas Jayhawks and Duke Blue Devils also make the top five, and UK will paly both of them this season. The Cats will also play the No. 18 Vanderbilt Commodores and No. 21 LSU Tigers in SEC play.
