The Kentucky Wildcats are finally going with a new quarterback.
The team's latest depth chart has redshirt freshman Drew Barker listed as the No. 1 QB. He replaces junior QB Patrick Towles, who is now listed No. 2 on the depth chart that was updated on Monday in light of next Saturday's matchup with Charlotte. It didn't seem like this change would come after Barker came in and was later replaced by Towles during Saturday's loss at Vanderbilt, but Mark Stoops and his staff apparently feel that Barker is the best option going forward.
Another big move made was redshirt freshman linebacker Denzil Ware moving to the No. 1 DE/LB spot over senior Jabari Johnson. Ware has shown flashes of greatness this season and has a very bright future at UK. He's already looking like he may fall in line with a great line of pass-rushers Stoops has coached over his college career.
