College Football Bowl Projections: Week 12 Roundup

For the first time this season, all of the college football bowl projections do not include the Kentucky Wildcats in them.

Now sitting at 4-6, no one expects the Cats to get two more wins in their next two games. It won't be easy since one of them has to come over a significantly-improved Louisville team in the regular-season finale. Beating Charlotte next week is very doable, but it's starting to look like another 5-7 season could be in the cards for Kentucky football.

CBS Sports' Jerry Palm no longer has UK making a bowl after having them in last week facing Virginia Tech in the Independence Bowl. College Sports Madness also don't have Kentucky in a bowl after having them in last week and facing Temple in the Birmingham Bowl.

SB Nation's Jason Kirk does not have Kentucky in a bowl for the second week in a row. Neither does Campus Insiders. That's a clean sweep for UK not making a bowl for the first time during the 2015 college football season. It's safe to say the national and even local confidence and perception of this program is as low as it's been since...this time last year.

If you're interested in who is poised to be playing in the next College Football Playoff, Kirk has Alabama vs Notre Dame and Ohio State vs Clemson.

Palm's projection have Alabama vs Clemson and Ohio State vs Oklahoma. College Sports Madness has Clemson vs Oklahoma State and Alabama vs Ohio State. FiveThirtyEight.com has Clemson, Ohio State, Alabama, and Oklahoma as their top four and who would be in the CFP if the selections were made today. Baylor and Stanford were in many of last week's CFP projections, but they both lost this weekend to fall out of playoff contention.
