The Kentucky Wildcats and other big-time college basketball programs may soon learn where Wenyen Gabriel will be committing to.
The five-star forward in the Class of 2016 is coming off a visit to UK that by all accounts went very well. For much of his recruitment, however, the Maryland Terrapins and Duke Blue Devils looked to be ahead of the Cats, but that may have changed during Gabriel's visit to Lexington.
According to Ben Roberts of Next Cats, Gabriel could be making his college decision soon:
Hearing there could be a college announcement from five-star PF Wenyen Gabriel very soon. Took official visit to UK last weekend.

Gabriel has been one of, if not the fastest-rising college prospect this year after scoring scholarship offers from Duke and UK over the summer. He's ranked by 24/7 Sports Composite as the No. 17 prospect in the Class of 2016 and the No. 5 power forward. His crystal ball also has UK rising after the Terps and Blue Devils had built a big lead.
What makes this potential announcement even more key is that Gabriel has yet to go on his official visit to Duke, which is set for October 16. He visited Maryland September 11th and Kentucky September 20th. It's safe to think one of the latter two will be the pick if Gabriel decides without taking his Duke visit.
