Kentucky Football: Yahtzee or No Yahtzee?

In my last article I told you the following:

On Sunday, Kentucky offered JUCO WR 6'-6" Kayaune Ross from Phoenix College in Arizona. Here's a little tidbit for you. Coming out of high school, he was the #3 WR who committed to Wisconsin. Oh yeah, he's from West Chester, OH Lakota West HS. Guess who's recruiting him for UK?

Everyone reported yesterday that Ross committed to the Cats. Then, some backed off. All except Scout and KSR. The link goes directly to his profile from Scout's JUCO database. As you will note, his profile page says he committed yesterday (1/20/15). At 6'5", he's a big target.

The controversy was due to the tweets that Ross sent out:

I haven't signed anything yet KENTUCKY is where I wanna be so by Time for my official visit I'll be ready to sign as of NOW BBN is my LEADER

This tweet was sent immediately after Patrick Loney tweeted, "Yahtzee!" Patrick didn't send out any change from his Yahtzee.

However, Justin Rowland over at Rivals posted this:

Kentucky commitment list will hold at 18 for tonight.

And then he put out this tweet:

I'll take that latest tweet as vindication. I will reiterate that Kentucky likes Ross a lot. Lesson: Don't rush, do real homework.

He's talking about bigross3's tweet above.

Like Rivals, 247Sports doesn't include Ross as a commitment.

I have a feeling that Ross's tweet has been interpreted wrong by some of our experts. Did his tweet say he hasn't committed, or can you interpret that to mean he hasn't signed yet?

Both Rowland and Loney have contacts on the coaching staff. It makes you wonder. If you don't follow Matt Jones over at Kentucky Sports Radio (KSR), consider this:

6'6" Junior College WR Kayaune Ross has committed to UK. He goes to JC in Phoenix and is originally from Ohio

Who are you going to believe?
