Kentucky Wildcats fans have been waiting all year to see this. There, I got that out of the way. Seriously, this was perhaps the best defensive half of basketball for Kentucky since the UCLA game. The intensity was back, the rhythm was back, and the platoons were back. I myself have doubted that matters, but after this, I’m not quite so sanguine.

HALFTIME: #Kentucky 44, Missouri 18. Much more like the Cats we saw earlier this season. pic.twitter.com/JB7wXaHh1S

There’s really not much to say when you hold a team to 31% shooting while shooting 50% yourself, and force seven turnovers with three steals. All I can say is that the Wildcats finally showed that they didn’t forget how to play the game over the holidays, they just … allowed their attention to stray.
Well, their attention is on basketball tonight. This is more like it.
Go, ‘Cats!
