There’s no doubt that the Kentucky Wildcats came into College Station thinking they’d play better against the Texas A&M Aggies, but they manifestly have not. Kentucky has really struggled today on defense, hasn’t made layups, can’t decide whether to switch or what, and the Wildcats just really looked bad for a large part of the first half.
Texas A&M, for their part, has played well but not spectacularly like Ole Miss did. Fortunately, the Wildcats continue to be hot from the perimeter. That, and a defensive improvement late, kept them from going into the half with a bigger deficit than three.

The Wildcats have to shoot the ball better and defend the ball much better in the second half. It’s perplexing to see Kentucky struggle like this after getting so much coaching during the break. Perhaps they have been reading their press clippings? If so, now would be a good time to get back to what got them to 13-0.
