Today is game 2 of the Big Blue Bahamas Tour. Of course we will have an open thread.
Tweet of the Morning
Glad to hear UK's defense is killing it today. Granted, I want the offense to do well too, but offense always gets the glory.

That is good news. I’ve heard Ryan Flannigan is doing very well in the linebacker spot.

Fan Day/Open practice recap. You have to love this:
“Believe me, this team wants to deliver for this fan base,” Stoops said. “They’ve been so loyal, and just can’t thank them enough for their support. I promise you, this was not a finished product here today. We’re gonna work hard and get better.”

Luke Hiel has decommitted from Kentucky. That’s not good, but what can you do? Go out and replace him, that’s what.

John Calipari’s postgame comments from yesterday:
-
Calipari liked what he saw in the first exhibition. Transition defense was the only major complaint I had, and as Coach Cal said, it’s only August.
-
Two veterans, Aaron Harrison and Alex Poythress, shine in first Big Blue Bahamas game. I was really impressed by Alex Poythress. He gets off the floor like a pogo stick.

Diamond Stone powers Team USA U17 to win over Greece. I think he and Malik Newman would look good in Blue and White, don’t you?

Rorie McIlroy has two trophies and has had a great summer. I got to see a few hours of the tournament live, but we left to avoid the traffic crunch and watched the finale on TV. It was getting dark out there.

Tiger wants to be on the Ryder Cup team. I think he should stop playing golf for at least four to six months and heal his back. This comes from a guy who knows back pain.

PGA has every intention of returning to Valhalla. Good. This was a great tournament.

Lochte and Phelps are on the comeback trail for yet another Olympics.

Sci-Fi and Fantasy authors pick the worlds they want to visit. There are a lot of good answers there, although I confess I haven’t read Ann McAffrey’s Pern novels. Myself, I’d like to visit Jack Vance’s Planet of Adventure, a.k.a. Tschai, Middle Earth (the Hobbit and LoTR), and the Star Trek universe of The Original Series, in that order.

Another reason to stay away from the cold North: Penguins the size of NBA players. Fossils, yes, but what if one survived, or something?
