Today, Jabari Greenwood and Darius Fullwood will choose their school, and Kentucky is high on both lists.

ESPN says Draft was highest-rated ever, topping '03 (LeBron, Wade, Melo, etc) ... top 5 cities: L'ville, OKC, Memphis, Ral-Durham, Cleve.

Wow. Well, I guess it met expectations in that regard. This draft class was touted to the moon and back.

John Calipari talks about draft night. Consider:
On Randle to the Lakers, Young to the Celtics, who've combined for 33 NBA titles: "I think my season is officially over. I knew where I wanted Julius to go and I said it three weeks ago. Everyone knew what I was saying. I wanted him in L.A. In four years, they're all on a level playing field, so why wouldn't you want to go to a storied program. Same with James Young. I mean, it was great. It was great. I'm just happy for both."
I think both Young and Randle wound up at the right place.
-
The Murray Ledger-Times thinks the Racers and Wildcats should play each other. But when asked if he would entertain the idea of a home and home series with Murray, here was Calipari's answer:
"That’s a nice question, and the answer is no," he said, drawing laughs. He continued: "I’m a big fan of the program...and Western, Morehead...and they are all welcome to play us...in Rupp."
That's the name of that tune.

Tyler Lashbrook, writing for SB Nation, grades out Julius Randle's pick as one of the very highest. James Young's pick he rated a bit lower, but still good.
-
Kentucky basketball was watched by more people in 2013-14 than any other team by a wide margin.
-
Tina Cox writing for Vaught's Views says that Kentucky basketball is lucky to have an ambassador like Joe. B. Hall. I agree.

Top point-guard prospect in 2016, Malik Monk, says Kentucky is one of the programs recruiting him hardest.

Compare these picks of the 30 best draft-eligible college players to what happened on draft day. It's astounding the difference in what the analytics say and what the NBA teams think they need.

Some very interesting analysis of the O'Bannon case as it wraps up. Consider:
Because of difficulties she was having, Wilken asked the plaintiffs if they wanted to switch their theory from a monopoly (a market structure with a single seller) to a monopsony (a market in which there's only one buyer). Hausfeld asserted the plaintiffs' case is both. The NCAA objected and said it would have tried a different case if it had known the theory was monopsony -- a theory Wilken herself raised early during the trial.
I think, and some legal experts agree with me, that the applicable theory is monopsony vs. monopoly. This could wind up derailing much of the plaintiff's argument. More analysis on the O'Bannon trial can be found here.

Former Tennessee Volunteer Jordan McRae got traded to Philadelphia. The 76ers really have some interesting pieces. I wonder if they can make a team out of them?

Right now, it looks like LSU has the #1 player in the class of 2015.

Contra this article, I think that either Marcus Smart or Rajon Rondo will have to go. I can't see them playing together, since they both have essentially the same strength and weakness.
