It's moving day at the women's U.S. Open. Michelle Wie has a 1-shot lead over Lexi Thompson as of this writing. My favorite player, Paula Creamer, is currently tied for 5th at +2. 11-year old Lucy Li has had back-to-back 78's and will miss the cut.

Kentucky football

• Jason Hatcher's marijuana citation has been dismissed. James Quick's however, has not been. I hope Hatcher learns from this experience.

• Darius Fullwood, one of Kentucky's top 2015 targets, talks to Land Grant Holy Land about his recent camp at OSU. Consider:

  "Ohio State, Virginia Tech, Duke, Kentucky, Maryland, and Rutgers are the ones standing out right now," he admitted. "After I talk with (Coach Johnson) Sunday, I'll figure out which schools I'm going to be choosing from because I'm deciding next Saturday."

• So Kentucky once considered leaving the SEC and joining the ACC. I'm glad that didn't happen, even if it might have helped the football program.

• UK 2015 commitment Charles Matthews is trying to bring company:

  The 6-foot-5 combo guard from Chicago said he's been actively recruiting Bragg and Cheick Diallo to join him in Lexington next year. Both players are ranked among the top 10 prospects in the class of 2015 and both have scholarship offers from Kentucky.

• Philadelphia has their eye on James Young.

• Will 2016's Mustapha Heron follow Barry Rorhssen to Kentucky? I think it is unlikely. Kentucky hasn't offered him yet, and I don't think he's really thinking that way.

• Kentucky drew the most fans last season, but Syracuse led in home game attendance.

• Julius Randle knows hard work is the key. Via Sam Henson.

• James Young and Julius Randle will both be invited to the Green Room the night of the NBA Draft.

• Ben Roberts says that John Calipari has his eye on 2015's Eric Davis.

• 2015's Derrick Jones is hearing a lot from Kentucky, even though he's not paying much attention to recruiting at the moment.

• Mike DeCourcy thinks Willie Cauley-Stein could be the difference between UK being "fine" and extraordinary.
