What a huge pickup for Kentucky in Ohio WR Alex Stump @ShowTime_Stump Loved his tape from day one.— Devin Graves (@dpg4uk) May 4, 2014
Did you have the California Chrome winning the Kentucky Derby and Alex Stump committing to Mark Stoops' University of Kentucky exacta? If you did please provide A Sea of Blue your winning ticket, and we will put your prize in the mail. Receiver Alex Stump's commitment pushes Kentucky to seven commitments, and Scout's Patrick Loney hinted in another comment section that more good news is on the horizon for the coming week. Keep those dice handy in other words.
Stump is listed as a 6'3'' 190 pound receiver out of Lakewood, OH. He makes the second Ohio commitment for Kentucky in 2015 but he won't be the last. Stump recently made waves when he earned The Offensive MVP at last weekend's Rivals Camp in Columbus, OH. It was early in his recruiting process, but the general consensus is more offers were in his immediate future. There was a possibility that Notre Dame would have offered him after he camped with them this summer. There's a solid chance he earns a four star ranking prior to NSD.
Check out his highlights. It's only a highlight tape, but he looks to have Spider-Man hands, and he's tall with some wheels. That's a foundation that college coaches would be happy to build on. A quality addition to the receiver corps that will help to fuel the Air Raid offense.
