US PRESSWIRE

Tonight, it's the Wildcats versus the Gators for a berth in the SEC Men's Baseball Tournament finals. What a run it's been for Kentucky, no matter who wins. If the Wildcats had just played a bit better down the stretch of the season, they could've been in line for a national seed.

  • When I hear somebody quote an unnamed NBA source, I ignore it. Unnamed NBA sources are among the dumbest basketball people on the planet. It looks even dumber right next to this:

Cuff: "I would go would Randle, too. His game might not be NBA-ready, but his body is most NBA-ready. He's very athletic. He's right hand dominant. Needs to work on that left hand a little bit. But you're looking at 16-17 points a game, maybe eight or nine rebounds. [my emphasis]

Dumb, and dumber. but I'd be happy to see Randle go to the Celtics.

  • Mike DeCourcy picks Arizona over Kentucky as the #1 preseason team. I respect and like DeCourcy, but I think he's just being contrarian here. Kentucky deserves to be #1 preseason, and you can rarely say that about any team.

  • A review of Governor Steve Beshear and Lexington Mayer Jim Gray's appearance on KSR's radio show.

  • Jon Cooper for SDS reports that more ACC-SEC games are likely coming with the new mandate that SEC schools play at least one FBS team in their non-conference schedule.

  • Not to be outdone by anyone, Notre Dame's Brian Kelly says he wants an SEC team on their schedule. Go get 'em, boys!

  • The iPhone 6 is coming! I don't know, for me, bigger isn't always better. I carry my phone in my pocket, and most of the larger phones are just too darn big to be comfortable. My iPhone 4 still works great, but I'm getting the itch to upgrade. It probably won't be for the newest model, though — I like to have phones where most of the bugs have been worked out before I buy them.
