Jalen Whitlow has taken his talents to Eastern Illinois:
Former University of Kentucky quarterback Jalen Whitlow has transferred to Eastern Illinois, which made the move official with an announcement Wednesday. The Panthers also added two other Football Bowl Subdivision transfers: wide receiver Stephen Bravo-Brown from South Florida and defensive back Anthony Standifer from Ole Miss.
He will be eligible to play immediately.

Lousiville sophomore Akoy Agu said yesterday he feels Louisville fans are "more mature" than Kentucky fans. It takes a genuine lack of maturity to say such an outrageous thing for public consumption, so I suppose the same thing cannot be said of the Louisville basketball team.

Ouch. This is going to leave a mark. Will this be the beginning of open warfare between the Lexington Center Corporation and the University of Kentucky? Dr. Capilouto is certainly pulling no punches.

Team Speed Kills has their own postmortem of the Florida-Kentucky game:
Teams like Kentucky are not supposed to win in Hoover. Not because the Wildcats came into this game as the No. 9 seed facing the No. 1 seed in Florida. Instead, Kentucky is the kind of team that's supposed to have trouble in Hoover because they thrive on offense and struggle on pitching -- and Hoover Metropolitan is nothing if not a pitchers' park.

Mike Slive says that "Autonomy" will be the focus of the Big Five football conferences when it comes to NCAA reform:
"Our presidents and chancellors have unanimously supported this effort to create autonomy in these areas that are related to student-athletes, so I anticipate that we will continue to support it," Slive said Wednesday in an interview with The Associated Press. "And I do anticipate that we will also want to see that the proposed model is modified so that that autonomy really means autonomy, that the five conferences can determine how their own legislative process will work."
