Today is Kentucky Oaks day, a day I have taken off every year for the past decade just to sit back and bet on the ponies, have a Bloody Mary and a Mint Julep or three. Should be fun.

This lament is just silly, in my view. I'd love to see Randle play three more years at Kentucky, but I'll remember him. What's my favorite Randall memory? That's easy — his game against Michigan State, where the Spartans did everything but pull out a gun and shoot him, and still couldn't stop him. He was magnificent.

Coach Cal will have his hip replaced today. Good luck to him, I hope it goes well.

Pac-12, B1G coaches whine about SEC staying at eight league games while they go to nine. Sorry, my response is "up yours, losers."
College football is the SEC’s world and the rest of it is just taking a number. That leads Mike Leach, the Washington State coach, to say, "If I was the SEC, I’d probably keep it that way. They’re fairly clever to do it."
That's how it is.
