Alabama Crimson Tide at Kentucky Wildcats: Live Game Thread

Tonight, we say goodbye to our seniors, and welcome the Alabama Crimson Tide to Rupp Arena.

Kevin C. Cox

Tonight, we say goodbye to Jon Hood and Jarrod Polson as they suit up for the last time as Kentucky Wildcats in a college basketball game. Both these young men epitomize what it means to be a Kentucky basketball player, and fittingly enough, both are from the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Let us not forget them.

It's time for Kentucky to get back on a winning streak. To do that, they must:

  • Defend Trevor Relford — Releford is the guy that makes Alabama go, and Kentucky can't afford to let him have a big game.

  • Make layups — This needs no exposition, but Kentucky has been having an unseemly amount of trouble making them lately.

  • Let go of the last two losses — Time is too short to dwell on the past.

  • Continue to attack the rim, but look for open shooters — Kentucky is good at attacking the rim, but they must be willing to give up the ball.

  • Dominate the offensive glass — This is always a winning plan.

  • Make free throws — No exposition necessary.

Go, 'Cats, and congratulations to Jon and Jarrod. You guys have been great to watch, and great to have on the Kentucky team.
