Tonight, we say goodbye to Jon Hood and Jarrod Polson as they suit up for the last time as Kentucky Wildcats in a college basketball game. Both these young men epitomize what it means to be a Kentucky basketball player, and fittingly enough, both are from the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Let us not forget them.
It's time for Kentucky to get back on a winning streak. To do that, they must:
Defend Trevor Relford — Releford is the guy that makes Alabama go, and Kentucky can't afford to let him have a big game.
Make layups — This needs no exposition, but Kentucky has been having an unseemly amount of trouble making them lately.
Let go of the last two losses — Time is too short to dwell on the past.
Continue to attack the rim, but look for open shooters — Kentucky is good at attacking the rim, but they must be willing to give up the ball.
Dominate the offensive glass — This is always a winning plan.
Make free throws — No exposition necessary.
Go, 'Cats, and congratulations to Jon and Jarrod. You guys have been great to watch, and great to have on the Kentucky team.
