  While it is unlikely this UK team will miss the NCAA Tournament like last year’s, it is worth noting these Cats are 21-7 and those Cats were 20-8 at the same point a year ago. And this team had much higher expectations.

• When you start calling the SEC cellar-dweller a "test," you know things have gone just a tiny bit awry.

• Jerry Meyer talks about Charles Matthews. I really liked this:

  Does Matthews’ commitment hurt UK’s chances with fellow 2015 shooting guard Luke Kennard?

  I don’t think it hurts at all. Anyone, including Kennard, is considering Kentucky because they want to practice against and play with great players. That is the recruiting sales pitch. If anything, getting the expected commitment from Matthews, helps with Kennard.

• Randle finalist for Naismith Player of the Year award. Definitely not a favorite, though.

• WCS questions the Wildcats' urgency. I question a lot more than that.
