The Seattle Seahawks really took it to the Denver Broncos last night. Congratulations to the Seahawks on their first Lombardi Trophy and a complete domination of the Super Bowl. Impressive victory.

Well, duh! Hello, it's called being a fan, Jason. ;-)

Your Quickies:

  • The BPI, constructed by Dean Oliver, the inventor of the Four Factors, has Kentucky at #4 in the nation. For some reason, nobody wants to pay attention to that. Ken Pomeroy has UK at #14 right now. I think the truth is really somewhere in-between, although I do like what Oliver is doing. The RPI, which we know is highly simplistic, has Kentucky at #19. So when I criticize people like Gary Parrish for being basketball Luddites, this is why. He is no better than the NCAA when it comes to embracing improved analytics.

Myself, I would have Kentucky around #9 or 10. It may not look like it yet, but this Kentucky team is better than their record. Eventually, it is going to show up, just like the 3-point shooting and free throw shooting are beginning to round in to form.

  • Rock M Nation examines the Kentucky game, and does a really fine job of it, too.

  • A Vaught's Views reader thinks Calipari should hire Jarrod Polson after he graduates.

  • CoachCal.com talks about the zone that Calipari played on Saturday.

  • Tom Leach reviews the Missouri game.
