Heh. History is on our side, at least.

The spring football game set for April 26th at 3:30.

More on the spring game and the "Big Blue Weekend." Football has become exciting again at Kentucky.
-
Don't forget, today is Junior Day for the football team. There are a number of highly ranked players attending.

Calipari says that the Florida game will tell Kentucky where it is. I think that's right, but I think too much importance is probably being attached to this game — it's a big one, but Kentucky's not going to the NIT or anything if they lose. Kentucky needs to win, but in the big scheme of things, I have decided to give them the whole season to prepare for the tournament. Having said that, I want this game an awful lot just for pride.
-
Pregame shootaround for Kentucky vs. Florida. I think the author's bias is obvious, since both Kentucky and Florida struggled at Auburn and Arkansas.

John Calipari's pregame presser:

The obligatory youth vs. experience stuff. There's no doubt it's right, but is that the only angle in play here? I don't think so.
-
I was thinking about this game a day or so ago. I'd love to see Kentucky do this again, but there is a world of difference, defensively, between the Suffocats and this team.

Seriously, ESPN?

He's gonna be good:
McDonald's All-American and Kentucky bound Devin Booker (@DevinBook) finished with 32 points in a loss Friday night.
— Chip Miller (@UKBIGBLUENATION) February 15, 2014Heck, what am I talking about? He's already good.
Other Kentucky sports
-
Huge victory by the Bat Cats as they take down #1 Virginia in North Carolina.
-
Big game tomorrow for women's basketball. They travel down to Knoxville to challenge the #8 Tennessee Volunteers.
-
Softball is 60 7-0 after taking out #15/16 Texas in Austin. This team is looking very threatening, and I wonder how Kentucky came almost unnoticed into this season?

- There is a tremendous amount of acrimony among coaches over the stupid proposal to require football offenses in college to wait 10 seconds of the 40-second play clock before snapping the ball. As a major proponent of the change, Nick Saban is getting some serious heat.

I despise these "mock" selection committee brackets. I think they're a waste of time, but just in case you don't agree with me, here you go.

Arizona goes down to Arizona St. in an absolute barnburner in double-overtime. There was significant controversy in this game when, in the game's final possession, Jahii Carson hung on the rim and did chin-ups with over a half-second left and no technical foul was called. I think that was egregious on the part of the officials, and I was pulling for ASU in this one. Here's how the respective SB Nation communities saw the game:

Haha! RT @Mengus22: It's time to take things to the next level and start court-storming road games.

Preach, brother Davis.
SEC put in a rule that if the fans storm the court the school gets fined. That's why you don't see storms in that league. Not that hard.
— Seth Davis (@SethDavisHoops) February 15, 2014To be fair, though, the truth is this:
- You don't see court-storms at Kentucky because we like to act like we've been there before, and we have —
nineeight times (got ahead of myself there). - The rest of the SEC can't muster enough basketball fans for a court-storm.
