#13 UK Volleyball Hosts #21 Texas A&M - Preview and GameThread

It's been an utterly glorious weekend to be a Wildcat: UK Volleyball had its seventh straight win over Alabama Friday night, Men's Soccer survived an incredible double overtime battle against Old Dominion, and UK Football delivered its first back to back conference wins in recent history. The fun isn't quite over yet, as Volleyball is taking on TAMU tonight at 6 PM EDT on the SEC Network. Join us in cheering on our powerhouse women as they look to continue their winning streak.

UK Volleyball (13-2) continues it's incredible season tonight in the comfy confines of Memorial Coliseum against #21 Texas A&M.  What should you look to see from our VolleyCats? (Who, btw, really need a better nickname. The Killer Kittens kind of works but seems a tad violent. What say you, ASoB Peeps?)

Lauren O'Conner, who had a brilliant game against LSU last week, followed up by delivering a career high 22 kills against South Carolina on September 28th. Her teammates decided to join in this record of assault against the Tide Friday, when 3 players delivered double digit kills: Shelby Workman with 19, O'Conner with 15 and Anni Thomasson with 10. On defense, Libero phenom Jackie Napper delivered another 15 digs. Napper has now delivered 15 or more digs in 12 matches so far this season. Look for O'Conner and Thomasson to continue to deliver on the front line, while Napper shows why Kentucky is called "Libero U" on defense.

TAMU is walking into Memorial with a 10-3 record, and a perfect 2-0 thus far in SEC play. Key Aggies to watch include 6'2" MB Shelby Sullivan,  who made the All-SEC Team last year and posted 20 kills and 7 blocks in her SEC opener against Auburn. 6'1" setter Stephanie Aiple has blasted her way into a starting position her freshman year, delivering 35 assists in her season opener.

It should be a fast paced offensive battle tonight in Lexington. Join us to cheer on our Cats to yet another UK victory!
