Apparently the Sports Gods thought the Cats' loss in Death Valley wasn't quite enough felineicide (it's a word, I promise) for one weekend. Nope, our beloved Kill(er) Kittens had to suffer a Tiger Attack as well, dropping their eleven-game win streak in a 5 set loss to LSU at Memorial Coliseum. Adding insult to injury, this now leaves Florida as the only remaining unbeaten squad in the Conference.
Good news! The Cats are looking to restart the Streak tonight as they face unranked Arkansas!
Concerning news: The Cats are playing in Barnhill Arena (yikes) and the Razorbacks smell blood in the water - a win tonight would move them to the #2 spot in the SEC.
In short: OUR WILDCATS NEED YOUR SUPPORT!
Things to look for tonight: less than awesome defense and the accompanying miscues cost us the battle against the Tigers Sunday. We need to have more than just our front line working the D tonight, and EVERYONE NEEDS TO TALK. (Seems to be a trend with our on-the-court sports!)
I'm hoping to see Kaz Brown have another breakout game, and if Kaz can maneuver a strong partner-performance with Morgan Bergren we could be sitting pretty.
As for WPS, expect to see strong Defense from Arkansas senior Meredith Hays, who delivered her 800th career kill in Gainesville against the Gators Sunday.
Please join us tonight for all the volleyball action! Game time is 8 PM EDT on SECNetwork plus.
