The father of the Manning dynasty, Archie Manning, has taken a leave of absence from the College Football Playoff Selection Committee. He will not be replaced. He’s having back surgery, and Manning expects to return next season. He’s 65 years young, and recently underwent a knee replacement.
I remember him as the swashbuckling leader of the Ole Miss Rebels back in the day. What a player he was! Hope he gets well soon.
Tweet of the Morning
If Florida's waiver John Egbunu goes thru, half of Billy Donovan's rotation will be made up of players that transferred into the program.

How Kentucky and Mississippi St. rank in the SEC. Only in pass efficiency defense is Kentucky better than the Bulldogs.

Top ranked Bulldogs shift focus to Kentucky. Consider Dan Mullen’s remarks:
"If you look at their total body of work on the season, they have very talented players,’‘ Mullen said. "They rotate those running backs through; very productive players.
"They have some explosive wide receivers. They have some big-time play makers."

Yeah, the path ahead is difficult. So what?

Funny to see Jabari Parker talking about Kentucky:
Make no mistake, Jabari Parker wants his friend Jahlil Okafor and his former Duke teammates to win the NCAA championship this season, but the Bucks rookie thinks John Calipari’s platoon system at Kentucky will work.
Well, we know it will work. We’ve seen it work in the Big Blue Bahamas. The big question is how well it will hold up under a diversity of game pressure and over time.

Antonio Blakeney, he who generated the PItino rant, will visit Kentucky in a couple of weeks.

Big East Coast Bias asks the question: Is it counterproductive not to host a "Madness" event? I say that events like Big Blue Madness are helpful, so the answer must be yes. Anything that could help your program, but that you do not do, is a missed opportunity.
