It's time for Kentucky to take the lessons from the loss at Arkansas and apply them well. There is little room for error left if the Wildcats want a good seed in the NCAA Tournament.
Tweet of the Morning:
Anyone know what time the victory parade in Bloomington will be held today? Thanks in advance.

Haha! Well said indeed. And, more importantly:
UK spokesman confirms all seven early football enrollees are on campus for start of semester today.

Matt Elam apparently gave a friend some of the stuff from the Army Bowl, and it wound up going on eBay, as we heard yesterday. It's been withdrawn for sale. This just goes to show how you should avoid contact with prospective student athletes, and for the love of God, don't try to sell stuff from recruits. It's wrong, and can be an NCAA problem. Hogs beat Kentucky on putback slam. Just a tough loss. Moving on.

Jerry Tipton's notes on the game. Nothing too controversial here.

USA Today says Kentucky only brought it's C+ game. I don't agree. I wonder if the author saw the game?

Mental mistakes cost Kentucky. Consider:
Granted, this could still be a step forward for UK because in a game that lasted nearly three hours and had 81 free throws, the Cats never backed down. On the negative side, UK (12-4) is now 0-4 in games decided by less than five points.

The weirdness of the last play — throwing the ball up into the scoreboard.

Aaron Harrison has words with a Razorbacks fan last night. Fortunately, there were no blows exchanged, but the kid from Arkansas had his fists clenched. I doubt if it would have ended well for him.

Via Hank, the NCAA plans to change the rules regarding financial aid agreements. Previously, schools could not talk about prospects until they signed LOI's. Now, a financial aid agreement removes recruiting restrictions just like an LOI used to. This was done in response to recruits signing multiple financial aid agreements with schools.
I wonder if this will apply to basketball as well as football? The article doesn't make that clear.

Well, this is just embarrassing. I feel for you, Cardinal fans. Via Hank

Does this sound familiar? Pitino's biggest mistake was leaving Kentucky, and Petrino's was leaving Louisville. Somehow, they both wind up at ... Louisville. The unintended irony is thick enough to cut with a rusty soup spoon. Via Hank.

When is it okay to storm the court in college basketball? Contra the article, the correct answer is "Absolutely never. Ever." Fun ends where threat to others begins. Once again, Indiana is the center of the controversy.

Patrick Patterson key to Raptors' "accidental" turnaround. Consider:
Raptors head coach Dwane Casey knew Patterson could shoot at the University of Kentucky, and managed to carry over a zest for the three-pointer when the Houston Rockets made him the 14th pick in the 2010 draft. He also knew that had disappeared in the early part of this NBA season, when Patterson was with the Sacramento Kings.
Casey freely admits he didn’t know about Patterson’s energy level, his basketball IQ and the fact he is willing to guard anybody at any position. "The other facets of his game are growing on us," the coach said after last Monday’s 116-94 win over the Milwaukee Bucks.
I'm so happy to see Patrick finally finding a place where he fits in really well.
