The 5' 11" 175 lb. Randolph's commitment was a surprise for UK fans and even caught some of the experts by surprise. On January 3rd, he named Louisville as the leader for his services and he received an offer from Oklahoma on the 6th. Things began to change when he received a visit from Mark Stoops and Bradley Dale Paveto on January 21st. He committed that same day. Randolph claimed 24 offers from schools in the PAC-12, SEC, ACC, Big 12, and B1G 10. Randolph is from Stoops' and Elliot's old stomping grounds of Tallahassee, and is from a high school that produces talent regularly.

I caught a bit of Randolph while watching the US Marines Semper Fi All American in order to see UK commit Mikel Horton in action. Randolph was one of the more impressive players on the field during that game playing safety and in his role as a returner on special teams. Despite playing safety during the all-star game and in high school, he'll likely be moved to cornerback at the next level. According to Chris Nee at 24/7 Sports, Randolph, "works hard...smart back there...not biggest or strongest...good speed." Given the depth at the cornerback position with the returning starters, their back-ups, and the incoming class Randolph may not see much of the field this season which is another sign the football program is headed in a positive direction.
