Avery Williamson was a first class SEC style linebacker. He followed in the footsteps of other notable Wildcat linebackers such as Danny Trevathan, Micah Johnson, and Wesley Woodyard. Who will be the next great Kentucky linebacker? Mark Stoops has a few new guys vying for that distinction.
Nico Firrios is 6' 2", 220 lbs. out of the state of Florida. He runs a 4.6 40 yard dash, which is killer speed for an outside linebacker. He needs to add strength to his speed, but that can be said about almost any freshman linebacker. Firrios is a name that we all need to get used to.
Ryan Flannigan is another JUCO player that will give Stoops the immediate help that he needs. Flannigan is 6' 2" and 230 lbs. Like Firrios, he is an extremely quick outside linebacker, running a 4.5 40 yard dash. He will be a sight to behold rushing from the outside.
Kobie Walker is a three star outside linebacker coming in with offers from West Virginia, Wisconsin and Oklahoma State. He is 6'3 and 200 pounds.
Dorian Hendirx was a huge nab for Stoops and Eliot. At 6' 0", 230 lbs., Hendrix is an inside linebacker and fits the mold of that elite middle linebacker that Kentucky has been known for recently. Hendrix was one of the first commits to Stoops and his size leads one to believe that he will be seeing a lot of the field this season.
